This is one of four lectures of the ‘Understanding Nutrition’ series, which also includes Carbohydrates, Fats and Superfoods, aimed to improve your knowledge about health and nutrition.
You will also learn about amino acids and how they build proteins, along with the importance of essential amino acids which include ‘Branched Chain Amino Acids’. Understand how much protein we need and how that changes as we age, exercise, or become ill. Learn about supplements and protein shakes – should we use them and when?, along with steroids and the threat they pose to health.
This talk is open to anyone interested in learning more about nutrition. Starting from the basic building blocks through to the onset of disease. You can attend a single lecture or aim for all four and receive a certificate of completion at the end.
