This is one of four lectures within the ‘Understanding Nutrition’ series, which also includes Proteins, Fats and Carbohydrates. Aimed to improve your knowledge about health, disease, vitality and nutrition.
In this talk, you will learn where we find vitamins and why they are so important in our diet. We will discuss Vitamin C, B12 and Vitamin D deficiency as well as the role of vitamin A. We will also discuss mineral deficiencies, including Calcium and Iron, along with electrolyte balance within the body. We then move onto superfoods – what are they, how many are there, what makes them special, and why are they so vital for our health.
Open to anyone interested in learning more about nutrition. Starting from the basic building blocks through to the onset of disease. You can attend a single lecture or aim to attend all four and receive a certificate of completion at the end.
